Who am I?
Brazilian software developer. MSc Computer Science graduate at Universidade Federal do Ceará.
Research and development experiences include 3D, games, mobile apps, augmented reality, mixed reality, and data visualization.
Where I really want to grow is computer graphics and optimization.
Maybe one day I will also learn 3D modelling and music theory for games.
Experience
-
Software Development Engineer at Amazon Web Services (2021 - present): I am currently developing new features of Game Based-Learning products, such as Cloud Quest, focusing on the front end aspects of the experience.
-
3D Developer and Researcher at Instituto Atlântico (2020 - 2021): I developed an augmented reality application to help maintenance of energy distribution devices. This project led to multiple papers about UX design, computer vision and augmented reality. I also worked on a 3D printing software for an external client using Three.js.
- Game Developer at Advance Comunicação (2016 - 2018): I developed mobile puzzle games for mobile platforms and WebGL. Also worked on in-house tools. It was my first experience owning a commercial game from pre-production to post-production.
- Software Developer at Crearetech (2015): I worked on a budget shooting simulator for the local police. This simulator used mixed reality to cheapen expenses with training.
- Game Developer and Researcher at GEM Lab (2014): I developed a mixed reality game called Beach Pong. that was presented at an art event. I also supported writing and research of two papers.
Education
- Computer Science (2018 - 2021): I achieved my MSc Computer Science degree at Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC). I wrote a thesis on Games User Research and how user testing and data visualization improved a 2D game.
- Mobile App Development (2018 - 2020): Finished a specialization course at Centro Universitário 7 de Setembro. I studied Android and iOS development, both in native and hybrid environments. During this time, I researched the usage of dark patterns in the UX design of Brazilian food delivery mobile apps.
- Computer Science (2014): I spent one year abroad throught the Science without Borders exchange program. I studied at Dalhousie University. During this time, I also worked at the Graphics and Experimental Media Laboratory.
- Digital Systems and Media (2012 - 2017) : I graduated from UFC and focused my studies on game design. I developed an immersive mixed reality game using Kinect as my final project. The research was given a Best Paper Award in 2017.
